What did you do today?

NH lakes area yesterday, ice and snow mostly gone.
I'm so used to tidal waters, can't compute for a couple seconds when you see water up to the pier.

Today we brought down the fam boat from the barn where she stays over winter to put it in the water tomorrow. Possibly for the last time, mom is too old to do the prepp work next year and im abroad normally. However it looks better than ever, to see the blue reflection from the sky in the red varnished hull is really nice :)

Boating season will be here soon, moorings and markers are going out.
Harbor mouth looks spooky in the mist.

Aww yes I’ve already been playing with my dingy…..except I call it a Jon boat ….realizing now that could be interpreted the wrong way. Anyway it’s the thing that gets fishy smelling when I use it properly….

Today we had some good weather again in the morning so i got the mast prepped and varnished up. Another few details need a 2nd layer and then its ready to go on.

Boat is in the sea since last week. Shes a thick old girl (the boat not my mum 😂), built 75 years ago :)
Need some new paint on the deck and few more details varnished but pretty much ready to go.
I hosed it down properly on the inside before it went in to get the wood to swell a bit and it was decidedly much less leaky, hardly had to pump anything.

What a beautiful boat! Nice work.

Finally got the interface board for my GE washer installed today(stupid digital fancy piece of doodoo). It was a pain in the ass haha.

I thought it would be a good idea to smoke a few bong rips while doing it.... It didn't help. I got high and dropped a jumper pin on the carpet. It took me forever ever to find it.

I only had to buy two micro chip boards for $250.00. I also cussed a lot while ripping the dishwasher apart. At least now I don't have to hand wash dishes anymore!!!!

Technically not today, but yesterday.

You keep on liking the boat so i keep on posting it🤷‍♂️😁

Got the mast on yesterday, after much trouble. Its a hassle every year; in line with Murphys teaching the port installed a crane that is exactly as long as our mast; meaning that it allways tangled up on top: we had to abandon the idea of ever having a Windex (the pointy thing that shows where the wind is coming from) cause every year it breaks.
It was a hassle even with help of a few experienced guys from the port; our boat has double everything of each wire so theres always something that gets tangled up and more than once weve had to take it down or send someone up to get the wires right. On top of that the first drops of rain the very same second as we were starting to raise it. But all went well in the end but a few nerve settling beers were required in the evening.

Im getting closer and closer to get some grow related pics to share but until then its going to the Boats, Boats, Boats.
This summer im hoping to grow out a couple of clones of La Bella on the terrace; the mystery sativa cut from Spain that is the base for the Reina Madre/Queen Mother strain. Thought it was lost but i have a friend who keeps clones for it. Should be a real treat; bonus is that it finishes real early.

Happy Tuesday

Congrats on getting the mast up. Looks like you're almost ready to get out there and enjoy it!

Today i spent with the yoing niece and nephew; they eventually went to sleep and the other to church with mom. Now chilling with the Great Moose Migration; the best reality tv ever made. Nothing but nature and occasional wildlife, moose crossing the Ångermanland river just as theyve been doing for thousands of years, 24 hours a day. Theyve even made highlights: my fave i "Eagle feasts on cadaver", followed by "Eagle takes a crap after eating". I know this sounds like the stupidest thing ever but its absolutely hypnotizing and completely calming. If anyone is into this ill dropp a link.

Time to feed the web again, this is my official pretty picture thread; F-ck Insta.

I saw how nice the clouds looked from home and knew right then that sunsets going to be a show, in some way or another. Today it was the burning sea, sun shining thru a hole in the clouds making a spot on the sea light up like golden. As usual the real deal can never be captured, missing the golden beams from above and the burning sea looks like a small dot instead of a slice of paradise. 🤷‍♂️

I’ve been working on lighting systems in a new building, we’ve had the building for one month and we are already made major changes to the electrical. The receptacles are on the switch , which is a sensor so if you are at your desk working the power turns off in three minutes and you lose your work. I have 4 floors of rooms to reprogram to eliminate this issue. No one is happy and I don’t give a single shit….not one.
