I have known quite a few fellow machinists that were missing digits. Good to have healthy respect for machinery that eats flesh.

Ours would tell the story of having long hair next to machines,can only imagine that mess. Loved the metal lathe, spinning pieces,plus the wood. Really good teacher let you use anything if careful. Kid took a sip of his coffee and spit it out said was vodka.
