What did you do today?

I think today is a stay in your pj’s and housecoat all day kind of day.
I worked out at the shop most all day. Fixing a riding mower for my daughter and her husband, I told him back in April he needed to check the fuel shutoff valve but…. well guess what….that’s right it was said value stuck in the closed position. After that I moved my last truck load of rough saw lumber around to better organize and make room for 10-15 cords of firewood. I have about 50 cord filling two barns now and another 25 cord under some tin sheets. 10-15 more ( I’m guessing ) cut and in position to go to the splitter. And my buddy dropped another load on Friday. So I had to consolidate the lumber into neater stacks all on one end of the drying shed, it was a ton of work just to get a place to put more work.

And I ended my day with a NY Strip and large baked tater. The weather absolutely sucked all day and my wife said I wouldn’t get anything done and I wouldn’t be able to grill for more than a week. Well guess who’s filling the Dutch oven with beef and potatoes tonight….. that’s right she is.

Getting ready to paint. Going to go with Sherwin-Williams dried thyme. Hopefully it turns out well. Tomorrow I get the lumber to fix the wall tomorrow.

Congrats on the barbecued steak dinner and all that firewood! I bet that'll help keep you warm for a bit.

Yeah it has a way of doing it several times. Cutting it, splitting it, stacking it. The crazy thing is the weather turned warm it’s in the high 70’s during the day and low 60’s at night with 70-100% humidity now, I have to run the a/c to get the moisture out of the house.

I actually started tomato seeds in trays last night . And I am sunburned from tilling my garden spot in preparation for the up coming season.

We dropped to the low 60s today but the last couple days we were in the 70s. I felt too guilty to mention it.

I like that little spot there for a plant or statue or something, God bless those painters I know what it takes for a proper job, they did,can see the shine, plus the rails, wow.Really nice house and that porch is an oasis.
Took one guy 2 weeks. He's coming back next fall to do the rest of the main floor. Honest, prompt and hardworking. 830 to 530 for 11 days.
