Years ago when I built my grow cabinet. I planned everything out based on a 2x4 actually being 2" by 4". Ended up being 35" deep instead of 36"

Just screw a length of 2x4 and twist to where works. Tie it off and add bracing. Take off 2x4 lever and move to the next one.

I don't have enough arms to perform this task. But I do have a solution, cut out offending boards and replace. Monday's task.

I've been testing out my pump for the auto water system. If I dial it down to about 15% it gives me 1/2 gallon in one minute. Got my timer set to go off for one minute every 56 hours. Smoke 'em if you got 'em.

I hate wood, it makes no sense. It warps and splits dimensions are apparently approximate.

I agree. All my career working with ±0.0005 to a worst case of ± 0.005" tolerances. Therefore crooked/twisted boards are not accounted for in my methods. Maybe they have a class? Carpentry-105 How to work with Home Depot lumber. Too late now. A Saw, hammer, bar clamps and more nails then I can fix it! When in doubt add more wood!

Storms to last through weekend so no ladder/scaffold work until Monday. You should be getting that weather before us.

Very different than metal. And you can't easily put wood back on too.

Rough sawn is fairly true. Then drying and cleaning up comes into play because not everyone likes it rough.

Home depot wood is pretty much junk though. I have a 2x4 that literally almost twists 90° over 12' after it came home. We have a nice lumber yard close but its expensive.....but you also can use most of the wood from it, unlike getting it cheap and having to buy a bunch more because of quality. You can pretty much spend the same but have less waste and headaches with the more expensive place.

I was lucky home Depot matched another lumber yards sale price plus 10% off more, plus free delivery.
I had to go through 4 pallets of redwood to find enough for my deck. But I persevered and came out with beautiful straight pieces.

I got no problem returning crooked boards. Never an issue. I always buy more than I need or round up. There is always the next project. I just hate rework but always expected. I know I make mistakes so one of my other personalities has to audit the work. Call it ROI or Reliance on Operator Inspection

I'm doing maintenance on my long dormant IG account. It sucks removing dead friends and that's all I have to say about that.

I also blocked a dozen bots or so and when I was done I looked at blocked profiles in my settings and it showed 608 blocked lol. Many many bots in the funhouse.
