That looks awesome.I have a 14x45 patio that I am working to put roof over. Using engineering rafter tables I chose 2x6x16 (13' between supports) for the rafters at 12" OC. The boards are from the Home-Depot crooked twisted forest, so I am having trouble getting them nailed down so they are straight and not twisted. Much easier to work with shorter rafters. Working alone so it is slow going. Although my nephews did help on pouring-the-concrete day. I'll get it eventually but it is frustrating. Been working on this for months now and can see the finish line ahead. Five steps forward, two steps back just to ensure it is robust.

From what I have seen rafters are usually 2' OC, a little late now however.I have a 14x45 patio that I am working to put roof over. Thank you for that but all I can see is crooked/twisted lumber. That looks awesome.

That is correct but per standard engineering rafter tables, the span between supports at 13' using 2x6 Douglas fir and standard snow load means 12" OC or move up to 2x8'sFrom what I have seen rafters are usually 2' OC, a little late now however.
But I have stayed in a Holiday Inn Express!I am not an engineer, nor have I played one on TV...
I always miss a sock.when doing laundry wait until all the clothes are in the respective machines before you reach down to get the clothes you dropped. That way you only have to bend down once.

I built a deck out of redwood from home Depot. I hand picked every piece for straightness.[ never let a machinist work with wood but I digress].I have a 14x45 patio that I am working to put roof over. Just screw a length of 2x4 and twist to where works. Tie it off and add bracing. Take off 2x4 lever and move to the next one.I'm sure a helper applying leverage would be helpful. Don't they sell joist straightening bars?
Yes they do.
