Realized it’s been a minute since I dropped a status in here.

Here is the PG doin’ her thing.

She’s a sturdy MF’er of a plant.

I still haven't touched my outdoor volunteer. Taller than me now and sturdy, yes.

I harvested one of the PG's last night. you might say I put her out of her misery. The sample bud was excellent. The rootball was the most rootbound I have seen. That would be a contributing factor to her appearance. Buds are hard and I'm seeing some amber trichs.

You know with how bad those plants looked a few weeks ago, I think you did a pretty good job.

I agree that was a tough environment but you pulled them through!

Now you need to go BIG in fall/winter/spring so you can skip summer!

Next grow is going to be SIP pots or 3 gallon regular pots. 2,3 or 4 plants. It's so hard to choose a strain when you only have a couple or three plants.

They were starting to look rough after 2 days without water. They are definitely ready on day 54.

I'm really liking my first SIP pot, just a 5g bucket, 12oz beer cans, and 5g cloth pot on top.
Cloth pot has a hole in the bottom for a cup with perlite, and the cloth strip cut for the hole is still attached as a wick.
It can go 4+ days before watering again, probably a week if you fill it high. Definitely a cost-saver on nutrients, noticeable difference in fertigation.

I have both 5 gallon and 4 gallon SIP pots. I use coke cans too. I just fill the pots with dirt and let the natural wicking happen. The 4 gallon pots need water about every 3 days.

the best thing about SIP pots is I can set up my auto watering system and go total stealth. I have entertained the idea of bottom watering on a timer and just flooding the trays every other day or so. If that works I could run more plants. The problem with that is the trays get pretty nasty and need to be cleaned regularly. Not stealthy.
I'm thinking ahead for when my dad comes to visit in the fall.
I can run 2 sip pots and still fill up the tent with flower. But which 2 strains?

I'm sitting down for the first time today. Found a couple escapees from this morning's trim affair. Had my wife give them a sniff and she said mint chocolate chip ice cream.

I sampled one of the smaller buds. Very nice, a taste of anise. Pretty potent. We are very pleased. Take a bow Shane.
We got lucky on the drying conditions. 77/38 in the closet. Humidity has been much higher than our usual 15%. Looks like about 6 days on the dry. In the summer around here that's about as good as it's going to get.

You should grow that. Really enjoyed it. I squandered a 5 pack without cloning and I was gifted a single seed which is thriving although it has been neglected for months. This is actually a clone, I discarded the original seed plant because it got too big and I had no spot for it.

It’s not nearly as bushy as it’s photographing, but definitely needs a clean up.

It’s by far the best structured plant of the bunch. Have a Mint Candy (Silent) out there that went bananas and is gonna be the un-made bed of the garden

I have preflowers on my outdoor plant which I chopped in half when it hit ten feet. Who knows how high the stretch would have been

This was a few days after that pic, but candidly, the whole garden seems to be really far behind where I would expect them to be this time of year.
