I did not The battery is less than 2 weeks old, it now shows 1.9 volts. It went from starting the car to dead in 5 or 6 minutes. Something killed it or guess it could be the battery. I think I will see if it will hold a charge.Did you try jumping it?
There are some nice options out there. Sat in the Lincoln Nautilus hybrid at the Auto Show and really liked how it felt.Let's go car shopping!
Cranking amps are important too. Your new battery could have failed. I had that happen once otherwise I'm with Jeff your alternator, or worse a short.I did not The battery is less than 2 weeks old, it now shows 1.9 volts. Miz Chiz has a Hyundai electric and I have the guzzler Subaru, so our next will likely be a hybrid for longer distances. My In Laws are in MTL, so that drive still happens on the reg.
Test driving cars is fun!
I loved the I5-M60 but NO!!!I like Subaru... I just can't
I'm ready for an EV... Never Tesla tho, which one did you get for your wife?

Wiring harness unhooked or not completely seated in the alternator?Cranking amps are important too. Your new battery could have failed. I had that happen once otherwise I'm with Jeff your alternator, or worse a short.
@Raratt ?
the alternator is most likely the culprit. the battery is holding a charge. this is actually the 2nd battery in 2 months me thinks the alternator or a short is killing batteries.Cranking amps are important too. I know that as a mechanic I'm a damn good machinist. We've always had Toyotas and never had any problems till now. Damn you'd think they'd last longer than 21 years.y'all know a lot about cars on this site lol.
Not sure if they are the same brand but the ones I have are very restrictive and hard to get a good hit through.Not those ... these:

These are supposed to keep most of the tar in that little plastic thing and not collecting in the bottom of your lungs. Claim to be able re-usable so I guess I can soak 'em in ISO to get rid of the brown goop. (Apologies to any Gwyneth Paltrow trademark infringement ... ) I just hit PLACE ORDER and they are slated to arrive Saturday.
Really!! My 2005 Tucson only lasted a tad under 16 years / 386,000 KM's.Damn you'd think they'd last longer than 21 years.
Might be something drawing down the voltage also, those are fun to find.alternator
