We would like a nice mid size SUV, something easy to get in and out of. These sedans are murder for us old folks.
My main criteria is that it be quiet, good ac, good power, decent gas mileage, adaptive cruise control and a nice sound system.
I'm thinking a Lexus RX 350, 2018 to 2020 year.

If you are not stuck on the Toyota/Lexus label ...

... easy to get in and out of. I've made several long trips in both and the driving leg felt fine.

I'm ready for an EV... Never Tesla tho, which one did you get for your wife?

My Wife has the Ioniq sedan. Its basically a Prius in terms of body shape. She didn't want anything more. Its really for around town and kids to school etc. Subaru (I hear ya sister is for longer hauls and actual hauls due to size.

I'm not doing Tesla. Sorry fan boys. Can't. That said, for a full electric, the Acura ZDX is really nice.

I would prefer an electric or hybrid but I'm afraid they will be out of our budget. hard to say what the market will be like in a couple of years but I suspect the best deals will be with gas cars.

We are loving the Passport. Luxury ride, comfort and power. Adaptive cruise control, I admit I'm scared of it. waited too long to embrace the new tech!

I did not The battery is less than 2 weeks old, it now shows 1.9 volts. It went from starting the car to dead in 5 or 6 minutes. Something killed it or guess it could be the battery. I think I will see if it will hold a charge.

Alt or a connection to the battery that's not allowing it to charge.
