Think the ramp up and down for the lights do anything? Guess it just doesn't jolt the electricity and equipment. Compared to 24....12/12.
probably not lol

got things setup today fired up the co2 and the a/c. this light is interesting its much more yellow compared to the bright white from the quantum board on hlgs lights. i miss the dimmer on my old light it was analog and much more precise. this one does 1-10 my old dimmer was more like 0.1-10.0
You can generally replace your dimmer, you just need access to the dimmer wires on the driver. But the 1-10 dimmer would generally be more reliable long term; its got 10x individual resistors rather than the stepless which has one variable which tends to get somewhat messed up with years of usageView attachment 18412

yea it seems pretty strange vs the other light i got, the one from hlg is probably pretty straight forward you can easily access the wire for the dimmer the ac infinity one is strange it has this little electronic box with a screen that connects to each driver using a usb c cable im betting it must talk to a board inside the driver. You can generally replace your dimmer, you just need access to the dimmer wires on the driver. First a light, then a controller.I have a couple spare aci controller 69 if you want one.

I’ve been sucked in!First a light, then a controller.
Couple fans, exhaust duct later, you add a pump, now you need an 8port controller with splitters.

i have the ai controller, with the ai controller does it do 0-100% dimming or something more precise?I have a couple spare aci controller 69 if you want one. It's the bluetooth version. I've switched mine all over to the wifi version.
No 10 steps with all the controllers unfortunatelyi have the ai controller, with the ai controller does it do 0-100% dimming or something more precise?
bummer i find it much more challenging dialling in my ppfd without an dimmer knob thats prolly the only thing ill have trouble with. ill likely turn the light up and then play with the height of the fixture to get what i need itll likely be more time consuming ill prolly start writing down the brightness level and the height of the fixture with the desired ppfd to speed things up. right now im at 250 ppfd, 24 inch distance, brightness level1No 10 steps with all the controllers unfortunately

If you use an aci controller instead of the gadget that comes with it, you have direct control of your light brightness in the app:bummer i find it much more challenging dialling in my ppfd without an dimmer knob thats prolly the only thing ill have trouble with. ill likely turn the light up and then play with the height of the fixture to get what i need itll likely be more time consuming ill prolly start writing down the brightness level and the height of the fixture with the desired ppfd to speed things up. right now im at 250 ppfd, 24 inch distance, brightness level1

really starting to take off feels like they doubled in size this week. still having some trouble getting used to this lamp burnt one a bit with the light dialed it back trying again at brightness 2 but hanging the fixture a bit higher trying to get the ppfd around 300
