Thank you @DarkWeb I adore this charcuterie board. I know you may refer to it as a cutting board but I don't wanna see knife marks. It is so gorgeous. Our Christmas tradition for my entire life is we celebrate Christmas Eve and we have an good lunch but dinner consists of a full charcuterie display and finally I have something to display it on that will be perfect.

I love it.

PS the packing was insane. I don't think anyone could have gotten into it and the wax smells really nice and I love the feel of it too.

Hehe I was worried it was gonna get thrown around.......because they do that. I've seen some messed up shipments. Definitely made sure it was gonna be safe. I know you'll love that for a long time. And you can cut on it, it's fine.....you can always hit it with 220 sandpaper and re-wax. Walnut is some pretty tough wood. Obviously a steak knife would be a bad idea but any regular blade will be fine. That is a beautiful board......bring it out to the sun that strip between the maple really has some character.

I might need to get a cutting board for my sister, her whole house is completely trimmed out in black walnut inside.
Doors, floors, stairs, trim etc...everything was from a grove on the property when it was built.

You wouldn't be unhappy. That board is like silk and has a lovely deep sheen and is smooth as a baby's butt but smells much better :D

So, my Wife’s brother moved into a new condo today and with that, went our sofa.

He had a very specific space and measurements that a couch could accommodate and turns out, ours matched. He has Asperger's and so my in laws will cater to his whims, including, even offering up our living room sofa.

That said, they offered to buy us a new one, so we now have to wait for 5 weeks until it’s built. We’ll spend more time downstairs I suppose.

That also means….I borrowed a few
Sumo beanbag chairs from our office for the kids to hang out in! Boomer is unsure how he feels about them….

ps: this wasn’t staged at all. He jumped in there with the ball and kept rolling around.
