Yeah, but it's just like camping! :sneaky:

LOL I did have the opportunity to get rooms at the mountain.....for a hardly discounted price. I have lots of gear to take care of the situation. + Water, heat, food and a roof. I didn't have phone, cable or lights, but solar powered led garden lights propped on top of corona bottles put off a surprising amount of light. It wasn't bad at all honesty. And we had our beds.

The weather deposited a sleetstorm yesterday. I fell on my but three times today trying to ice it out enough for the dogs to get down the steps. I am hurty :[

That sucks. I fell yesterday too, right on my back the first time. That wasn't so bad....I feel it. But I slipped another time and grabbed something to keep me up. My shoulder hurts now, pulled it wrong and got an old injury acting up.

We have but I'm disabled and dealing with the wood would be more trouble than it's worth honestly. We have a lake house an hour away that had power and we could have gone there if it got too bad. It just reminds me of how dependent we are to the grid.
Solar panels or a wind mill? It used to take 11 cords of wood to heat my home in Big Bear Lake for one winter and sometimes you'd barely squeek through.

I like a good Pu-erh tea. A million years ago there was this little tea shop in Los Angeles Chinatown. I loved going in there and shopping through their teas. Sigh........ long gone now but it was amazing
We have some good shops in China Town, Seattle. I get most of my teas from my friend Steve. He owns a teashop called Enthea, in Portland. Steve has some old connections to incredible teas, some of the best ive ever had.

I also like Living Tea, they have quality stuff. I make teapots for both of those small businesses.

I was impressed by your lovely teapots. I bet Seattle has some great places for tea. This was an old musty type shop from years ago and that was in the early 1970s. I was lucky to see them before they shut down (the old man who owned it passed, sad).

That is sad. It sounds like a historical tea shop.
I also heard about the iconic mochi shop that shut down. 115 years in business!
