Random Stream of Consciousness

Here we have a Dollar general store. They have a lot of your essentials but are expensive. A dozen eggs is $7.99 and a gallon of milk, five bucks or more. Getting down down to the grocery store is a pain in the butt. Sometimes. We are around 4000 ft to 5000ft so it's not too bad for us. :)

I buy everything in NH, across the board it's 10% cheaper, plus no 5.5% sales tax.
Mostly it's just higher distribution costs to get it to ME, but alcohol is much much cheaper and better selection in NH.

Good afternoon everyone

have they given you an eta to restore power?
Just got a text and not until Saturday by 4pm. I'll have to drag out the generator from the barn tomorrow so we can save the food from spoiling and get some lights up for the plants. Part of life in the mountains but it stinks when it's cold for sure. We have a kerosene heater if it gets much colder so we'll be fine.

You guys are a different breed. I’d be at a hotel so fast! I tried to get @curious2garden to do the same when her power was out and again when her water was off. Nope no deal lol

You ever think about a small wood burning stove?
