A few years ago I bought 20 1lb chocolate bunnies for $1 each. 
They turned white after a few months and had to be thrown out.

.My 750 Triumph has bead locks on the rear tyre ( it's Brit speak). There are bolts going through the rim and a padded clamp that goes over the tube to the rim.I've changed both......by hand
