Just took 20 clones. I am transitioning to rockwool going forward although I may do one more promix run while I figure things out. I have 6 inch cubes to transplant into. Rockwool is cheap and I can just shred it into my compost pile. It doesn't break down but still an okay amendment. Starting some tomatoes for hydro too. My goblin farm is about to have a major expansion.
The Floraflex rockwool cubes? On sale this weekend! Why the switch to rockwool?
That plant looks lonely. :smokin:

Coffee to all may you have a great day and a better night

I saw that! I already have a box of 48 and a lot of plugs so I'm set for a bit. I am switching because it's cheaper and cleaner than promix which is a real pain before and after use, especially in winter. They are smaller than I've been flowering in but I think my yields will be equivalent. I grow too much anyway! Trying to get my fix with veggies. It's exciting what I have planned.

I've never used rockwool.

I will shred it into my compost pile. It's granite, no breaking down. But it retains water which is valuable.to me in my outdoor raised beds. I add vermiculite for that very purpose anyway. And the volume will be way less as well.
I went thru a few hundred starter blocks for clones and stuff, still finding them 10 yrs later in the garden.
Roto-tilling the bigger ones into leaf mulch pile or mixing with concrete and pouring slabs are 2 other ways recycle
