Thanks for asking Sir Chiz. Now that I've had the chance to recover a bit ...
From the fun perspective - being out with friends for an afternoon was awesome. But from the golf perspective ...
Those Muskoka resort courses, created in the midst of some spectacular rolling scenery, are on the Goofy Golf side. Tee shots that land in the middle of the fairway hit these ludicrous slopes and suddenly your great tee shot is in thick right rough or a hidden fairway bunker. Your approach shot is to an undulating green that is now 100' above you. And that tiny green is already running about 12 on the Stimp. 36 holes of that is exhausting.
But ... the two rounds were always going to be judged by the tantalizing 7th hole at Seguin Valley - 173 yards over Buck Lake with 0 bail out area. I snapped that pic standing at the flag.
My trusty 6 iron striped from the tee deck to the left of the tee sign with about 10' of backspin. Everyone else came up wet.

Happy Friday. Where did the week go. We are expecting record high temps this weekend, close to 90. Crazy this late in the year.

I dunno LG ... I think this September/early October heat & humidity might be starting to take it's toll on The Externals.
Fortunately, these are the only two tops so far - but I think with the warmer and more humid weekend here, there may be other tops come Tuesday morning when temps are expected to drop to more normal levels.
I use the same levels of nutrient mix to feed the tent ladies and their new growth doesn't give me any indication of overfeeding. The previous crop did show some light browning and the accompanying VEG crop showed some blotching while our furnace was on the fritz and the high humidity inside the house was not being controlled at all.
So far, these are the only two tops that I can see with this "ick". Let's see how they look next Tuesday.

This looks more widespread than it did at first glance. I remove a total of four rotted tops - turns out it was not just those two - and I saw another four or five with their sugar leaves showing that dark purple colour - nearly black actually - and starting to curl every which way. Bud rot is quickly devouring my outdoor endeavour.
