They’re substantial metal fencing posts sunk a foot deep. I think the trellis would fail before the posts come out

Clones are liking it in the rails. The tent is on 13/12 lighting now. My plan, when they get a bit bigger, is to lay them over and tie them horizontally and let every node grow upwards. Dunno what I'm doing, strictly improv and Yellowbeard style research.

It works.

I trained several plants to grow Espalier a few years back.

Espalier is NOT the technique to train MJ.

While it can produce, the added time is not worth the investment and the weight of the limbs causes issues.
