Red tails will "dance" together while flying as part of their courtship ritual in the spring. It's cool to watch.
We took my wife's nephew to a duck pond in he spring and he told me one of the ducks was trying to drown the other one and I should intervene. I told him they were just playing around and they were fine.
Gonna be a busy day or two at the Bob Bitchen Ranch, I just got finished with Trim jail this morning, moving on to tent #2 chop day & tent total disinfect day, then on to transplant day, and restock flower tent day, after that its seed shuck day , and seed package day.

It is fun to watch 'em be birds in their habitat.
Especially the black hawks when they glide high up in the sky in the strong winds or the osprey hovering above the water for a few seconds before they dive for prey.

This very quick conversation took place here on The Shores about 15 minutes ago.
Mrs. Cronk: Do you remember last weekend when you schlepped those 18 Rubbermaid containers up two flights for me?
Cronk: When you rearranged and sorted all of your fabric piles?
Mrs. Cronk: Yes sir.
Cronk: I do remember that.
Mrs. Cronk: And do you remember schlepping those same containers back down those two flights for me?
Cronk: I do remember that too.
Mrs. Cronk: I would like to properly thank you for that.
She walked over to one of her bags used to carry any loose sewing shit and pulled these two out:
Here I was seeing two empty sleeves a few days ago and thinking that I must have misplaced these two after the finger hash buzz and three cones from the last trim jail - when the reality was that Mrs. Cronk quietly and clandestinely took these two with her to a quilt show outside Peterborough on Friday. She knew that the guy who sharpens scissors was going to be there so she wanted to surprise me. And all of the little nicks and very small burrs are gone from the blades.
Can't believe I am saying this but I almost want to go back to trim jail and try them out.

Stretchy McGee decided to take her jacket off and finally join the party. The Harlequin back left is gettin’ up my nose a bit. She’s really moving slow.

Spent all night trying to scare a pair foxes away from our yard as they hunted my cat. One of them cornered the cat this morning but the cat stood it's ground and drove it off. Gotta deal with this all afternoon until I get rid of them. Country living......arghhh!

The sun finally decided to show up......
My daughter is on a week long camping trip with her class. We got her all packed up and ready. It's gonna be a tough week with no contact. And my son is home because he fell asleep in school.......probably because he was up late with us getting her ready. But I'm sure the pollen isn't helping him feel up to a day at school.
I literally got to the sugar woods, packed up the atv, put it in reverse and got the call. At least it's a beautiful day here. So I'll do some tomato up potting and stuff in the yard.
How's everyone else doing today?
