Plus, I always forget that the woman who heads up the Riverdale Horticultural Society is the next street over from us and today they were dishing out their worm castings. I forgot to pre-order but she did me a solid. This will have to wait until it’s time to mix soil in a few weeks.

Hope y’all had a fantabulous weekend!

Denike? View attachment 4298Only one obscure google hit on that name. May have been a New Jersey toolmaker, which makes sense. FIL lived most of his adult life there. He loved making joinery boxes, always made stuff for his church. Planed off the tips of 2 fingers a decade or more ago, and that was the end of that!View attachment 4298

Here's a thing he made.View attachment 4299

It appears to me that the tools were only available through the school.

That's the same search hit I got.
I don't want to make an account and log in to see the pictures and find out they're broken lol.
I think I have account to the top article. It’s in a sawmill forum. I owned a sawmill for years and was on a few of those so if you have particular questions I don’t mind digging a little deeper. In fact I read more than I copied but proof ( as you already know ) is tough to come by.

Anyway that box is truly amazing. I have some experience with box making and that level is a step above average. I can assume he had a descent shop or access to some nice equipment. I’ve taken classes at Highland Woodworking in at Atlanta Ga with the guy from New Yankee Work Shop and a couple of other tv personalities, they were all super nice and easy to talk to.

I was so hungry I almost forgot to document! Asparagus was shit at the store, but I had a sack of dried morels and chanterelles. So tasty! View attachment 4317
