I don’t like the remote sensor being so high up. The temperature difference between the floor (intake) and ceiling is pretty big
I wish they used a shorty 2" plug-in sensor on the AI controller instead of the built in one too.I don’t like the remote sensor being so high up. The temperature difference between the floor (intake) and ceiling is pretty big
I tried that. Probably not a fair test but the ambient heat of the tent throws off that sensor IMOI wish they used a shorty 2" plug-in sensor on the AI controller instead of the built in one too.
Then you could put a longer one and put it somewhere that gives the AI a better reading.
I too am disappointed. Should have dedicated power supply and the signal conditioning box should allow setup in device port.I don't want to keep messing up @Thurston's journal so I figured I'd continue the discussion on the AC Infinity AI Hydro Sensor here.

AI Hydro Sensor, for pH, EC, TDS and Water Temp Data Tracking
Enable advanced automation with a powerful AI Hydro Sensor that tracks pH, EC, TDS, and water temperature; perfect for hydroponics.acinfinity.com
After spending a bunch of time trying to get help from AI, AC Infinity online support and eventually calling AC Infinity, I've come to the conclusion that this device is primitive probe dressed up by calling it AI. The settings are very basic, calibration and offset that's it. You have no control over the TDS factor which is something the most basic $25 TDS pens have. That alone is a dealbreaker for me. For $200 CAD it should have all the bells and whistles. I'll be returning it.

I haven't had any issues with PH or EC changing after mixing a res for DTW with MegaCrop + silica.
I didn't have a need for it, maybe for DWC and dosing the PH occasionally.
I wouldn't mind monitoring it, but not many cheap reliable systems out there.

I "want" 3 temp/rh inputs, 2 soil moisture sensors, h20 level sensor, leak detector, co2 sensor, EC/PH sensor, and 16 device ports.Oh so now we’re playing the “need” card.
I wonder what the price on the wireless mesh receiver dongles is going to be.New ACI Controller! 8" coming next year.

They are much cheaper. $30 a pair instead of 40. Almost certainly right about compatibility.I wonder what the price on the wireless mesh receiver dongles is going to be.
The old wireless dongles are probably not supported, they had separate transmitters.
