My AC Infinity Jones

Installed the accessories I was waiting for and realized I will have to reconfigure some wiring to move AI controller near a interior wall so a sensor probe can measure environment of garage, and near the uninterruptible power supply. So power supply and controller have to move and wiring adjusted accordingly. Two sensors required for AI and they shouldn't be in same air space.

Current configuration is;
1 : Lights - On @ 1600 and off @ 0800
2 : Ventilation Fans - On @ 80°F, 3° buffer, min @ 0/max @ 8
3 : Heater - On @ 72°F, 5° buffer
4 : Water Pump - On 0:00:30 Off 5:59:30
5 : Future humidifier channel
6 : Tent Light - Off
7 : Tent Ventilation Fan - Off
8 : Tent Circulation Fan - Off

First 4 channels are wireless. More to come.

If anyone is interested in using a ACI plug to run your pump timed for seconds here is how you do it.

  • In your aci app select advanced from the icons
  • Touch the plus icon
  • Select cycle mode
  • Select your plug and touch next
  • Set your on time for when you want your pump to come on
  • Set end time to 1 minute later
  • Set the On Time Duration to the number of seconds you want your pump to run.
  • Set the Off Time Duration to the remaining seconds in 1 minute. (Example. On Time Duration 20 seconds, Off time duration 40 seconds)
  • Touch done and repeat process for each feed time.

I have been thinking for a while about how my controllers measure temperature outside the tent. The AI controllers have a built-in sensor that monitors my ambient temps and a probe that monitors the interior. But the controller is installed on the uninsulated wall of the tent fairly high up and has consistently shown some but little difference between inside and out, although at night my little heater goes all night to keep in range. So I installed a second probe in the second sensor port and placed it 20 feet away from the tent and close.to the floor. What a difference! 71F is now 59F. Does this make things easier for AI to control things? I don't know. But I was puzzled why my heater was working so hard and now I know.

An update on my AC Infinity AI Controller experiences. I found when given fans and heater to control temp/RH the AI controller cycled the heater more while also trying to counter with fans. Now fans are on Auto to control RH only with "Positive Outside Conditions" and heater is controlled by AI. More stable environment is the result. I tried flipping those settings and it wasn't as stable.
