Cooking and eating, with or without cannabis!

Chili and Spaghetti are and frequent request in our home.

Confession - I have no real talent for cooking and never really cooked until 5 years ago when I had a apartment in town and Lovey was at our home in the high mountain area. So I had to learn. Of course, I took the easy way out and used all the gadgets i.e. Instant pot, sous vide, slow cooker, etc.. Still use those devices as they make things so simple. Now, if I have a recipe, I can make it. Now I make two kinds of chili, a green Salsa Verde pork chili with potatoes or a two or three bean Texas chili with hamburger and bacon, sometimes use leftover chuck roast.

My daughter used to be a chef in high end restaurants in Az which I used to call "foo foo food" because it was all about "Presentation" which means pretty but not much there.

My presentation skills are lacking but I'll try to create something for this occasion.

Lookin good

You get exactly what I meant when it comes to Texas chili. I'll add literally a handful of beans. I'll look into those ones,I've been meaning to try black beans instead of kidney.
My favorites are Peruaño's also called Mayocobas. They are a really tender bean, much more so then even Pintos. But Black Beans are yummy. If you want a high quality bean when I'm not buying from my local Vallarta I shop here:

I'd vote for you to win if you made a chili ice cream....... sigh....... Sounds horrible but I'm sure with pot and enough sugar and cinnamon there would be a way!!

Thanks so much, they have Mexican chili powder and I bet it's way better than stop n shop. I will be ordering and try it out. Great prices also!

last year I had so many plants I was giving them away to the neighbors. You got a basil, thyme, tomato, chive and pepper sprout. If you wanted I was throwing in a bay leave clone. You could make some pretty good spaghetti sauce with all that.
That bay leaf in the sauce is everything. I watched by buddy chef throwing it in and was like wow. Or sage in stuffing or sausage is a ridiculous combination.
