pros
- better light spread
- overall more wattage / better light intensity ideal for co2 enriched rooms
- all anodized aluminum construction vs mdf cut outs
cons
- no analog dimmer option.for people with light meters analog dimmers are better in terms of adjusting light intensity in a way thats more precise.
- manufacturer advertises remote mounting of driver while simultaneously advertising its for commercial growers ie: co2 enrichment. it is very difficult to properly remote mount equipment without an electrician and specialized connectors due to the length of cord supplied.
over all i like the lights construction super heavy duty. i wish there were better factory options for remote mounting that don't involve voiding the warranty there should be higher gauge extensions available for separate purchase for people that would like to do this. id like if the light had an analog 0-10v dimmer with a separate RJ45 connection port if your interested in connection to the ac infinity app this would be the best of both worlds in my opinion there just doing that intentionally to lock you into the aci eco system. to have an anolog dimmer you would need to purchase two new drivers and the dimmer and completely rewire the lamp which is too much effort. how they have it setup was obviously done on purpose to discourage diy options which i dont find surprising after reading the threads teaching people how to reverse engineer their older fans wiring.
