looks like better quality carbon vs the red ones looks similar to the kootenay filters carbon pellets. althought still not as heavy as the kootenay filters. i couldnt get the better one than this that atmosphere makes since they said they wont ship to me directly due to risk of damage to an individual filter as they arent shipped inside a box. how stupid is that no box? they did suggest other third party shippers. the one they suggested didnt respond to my polite email (not surprised lol) i did find a third party on my own that was willing to do it for $300 shipping but that didnt seem like it would be make sense since a whole other filter could be bought for the price of the shipping. he also didnt seem thrilled about finding a box for the filter and filling it with styrofoam peanuts to prevent damage lol. really tough time finding good filters since legalization happened. funny how that works.

as always i drill out the rivets to see whats inside. i give this filter a 4 out of 10 rating. wasnt the worst filter ive ever used but not the best. it is fairly light. the carbon is not the best quality. something i found very annoying about this particular filter. the flange on the end does not go over the fans flange as it is the exact same diameter. every filter ive ever ran the filter aways slides nicely over the fans flange so you can tape it rather than needing two additional screw clamps to connect it. this is especially annoying since the filter is the same brand as the fan.

how long was that vortex can up there?

prolly two years, not constant use though. only gets ran when its too cold to run the mini split with co2. or when harvest comes i run two filters when i harvest so it doesnt smell outside the room. the longest lasting filter ive seen was kootenay. wish i could find a replacement. my biggest issue is getting stuff shipped up here. the logistics of getting those flood trays when i went on holidays was such a pain.

They exploded and still look lush! I've stopped using my blower since I've moved to mini splits. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that anymore. Although in the Mojave it was as easy as putting my charcoal cans out in the sun for a few days for them to be reset. So there was that but still.

i feel like a slept on that all black plant i had earlier that smelled like the permanent marker in that cross. it wasnt the best yielder or a frost monster but did it ever get you stoned. i may continue to pick through those seeds some more who knows i may change my mind lol.

i wanted to setup my auto watering but i havent been able to dial it in like my first attempt 2 plants want alot more while 1 is the middle of the road and 1 wants alot less. how do you sort that out when that happens?

Coco is pretty hard to over water so they all get the same feed. That’s one thing I liked about the orbit manifold you could dial in each port individually. What about using a clip or something to pinch the hose a little bit just to reduce the flow
