day 62 of flower will be taking these down after christmas. thinking ill do something different next run. prolly run 12 plants in a 5x5 in 5 gallon bags. going to run a couple new things.
dantes inferno (oreoz x devil driver) - 2 clones tiki madman / clearwater
dantes wrath (dantes inferno x astronaut status #24) - 2 clones clear water
black rainbow (permanent marker x lemon cherry sherb) - 2 seeds lit farms
im going to hold onto my cut of sugarcane shit is fire. i noticed inhousegenetics has ditched crossing platinum with everything in favour of crossing everything with a cut of sugarcane this doesn't surprise me after running it.
it didnt go well yield wise, worst grams per watt ever. i think the plants growing too close to the light messed up the light spread and hurt the yield. i should have listened to hlgs instructions hang height needs to be 20” - 24” above the canopy lol oh well. You’re probably trimming right now lol
This was a lovely grow.
i wish im so busy it takes alot of time maby about a week to collect enough ice for the machine, then it usually takes me an afternoon to do a couple runs and then clean everything then i hafta wait a number of days maby a week for the kief to be dry. then i put two wine bottles in a big pot with a sous vid set to 180 f then i press everything. i dont understand how the curing process even works cant find any literature on the science behind it. for example, a new ball id wrap the hash in organic cellophane the stuff you use for homemade candy and put it in a small mason jar and burp it every so often. only problem after 3-6 months the hash gets too soft in my opinion. i did notice i forgot about a few jars and when i opened them it was like a gas had built up inside the jar and the lid popped when i unscrewed it. that hash didnt get soft it remained hard like a bar of soap. i may switch to doing dry sift because i can process a 150 grams of trim in 15 minutes and dont have to wait for the kief to dry i can press it right then.Do you make hash balls with every harvest?
Yea I've just read that after you did all that process and put in Mason jar to cure for a minimum 4 ideally 6 months. After your routine of burping where they can be left for that long, if gets consistency your looking for.i wish im so busy it takes alot of time maby about a week to collect enough ice for the machine, then it usually takes me an afternoon to do a couple runs and then clean everything then i hafta wait a number of days maby a week for the kief to be dry. then i put two wine bottles in a big pot with a sous vid set to 180 f then i press everything. i dont understand how the curing process even works cant find any literature on the science behind it. for example, a new ball id wrap the hash in organic cellophane the stuff you use for homemade candy and put it in a small mason jar and burp it every so often. only problem after 3-6 months the hash gets too soft in my opinion. i did notice i forgot about a few jars and when i opened them it was like a gas had built up inside the jar and the lid popped when i unscrewed it. that hash didnt get soft it remained hard like a bar of soap. i may switch to doing dry sift because i can process a 150 grams of trim in 15 minutes and dont have to wait for the kief to dry i can press it right then.
Machine? As in small washing machine? I take it you only use trim for the process. I have bubble bags but have not had much success. Would love to work it out though.i wish im so busy it takes alot of time maby about a week to collect enough ice for the machine, then it usually takes me an afternoon to do a couple runs and then clean everything then i hafta wait a number of days maby a week for the kief to be dry. then i put two wine bottles in a big pot with a sous vid set to 180 f then i press everything. i dont understand how the curing process even works cant find any literature on the science behind it. for example, a new ball id wrap the hash in organic cellophane the stuff you use for homemade candy and put it in a small mason jar and burp it every so often. only problem after 3-6 months the hash gets too soft in my opinion. i did notice i forgot about a few jars and when i opened them it was like a gas had built up inside the jar and the lid popped when i unscrewed it. that hash didnt get soft it remained hard like a bar of soap. i may switch to doing dry sift because i can process a 150 grams of trim in 15 minutes and dont have to wait for the kief to dry i can press it right then.
i think thats why i want to try doing drysift i want that old school chunk of hash i can carry around in my pocket, go to a party or something it doesnt melt while im out. crumble it into a joint and go. or pinch a piece of and drop it on the end of a smoke while were standing outside the bar or somethinYea I've just read that after you did all that process and put in Mason jar to cure for a minimum 4 ideally 6 months. yea the little washing washing machine that comes with the bubble bagsMachine? As in small washing machine? I take it you only use trim for the process. I have bubble bags but have not had much success. Would love to work it out though.
Everyone I know uses a cheap rv washer for 60 or so on eBay. Does 4 ounces a run.Machine? As in small washing machine? I take it you only use trim for the process. I have bubble bags but have not had much success. Would love to work it out though.
its pretty simple add one freezer bag of ice, then put 150 grams of popcorn, followed by another bag of ice. then fill machine up to the line with the coldest water you can get. washing trichome heads the colder the better. next you turn the dial on the machine to 12Machine? If there's still moisture in it, it would have molded up. Some strains are oily and greasy.I know next to nothing of making hash but it seems to me if it is to viscous then more drying is needed or will that ruin it? Have you ever put a humidity sensor in the jar?
great question i dont know that answer, thats one reason why i wait about a week so i can be sure my kief i collected is dry before pressing. alot of people use freezer driers to dry the collected kief it speeds up the process. i was wondering this myself, but not so much for moisture but more like consistency that ball i have sitting out on that plate ive let that sit out for 3 weeks now i was hoping it would dry more and maby get a bit harder as a science experiment but it doesnt appear to get drier or harder at least not after 3 weeks so far.I know next to nothing of making hash but it seems to me if it is to viscous then more drying is needed or will that ruin it? I was going to just ask thinking maybe a few days not three weeks tho. Curious now how to turn that into something more solid. I'll have to ask around, interested in why and if could improve it.great question i dont know that answer, thats one reason why i wait about a week so i can be sure my kief i collected is dry before pressing. alot of people use freezer driers to dry the collected kief it speeds up the process. i was wondering this myself, but not so much for moisture but more like consistency that ball i have sitting out on that plate ive let that sit out for 3 weeks now i was hoping it would dry more and maby get a bit harder as a science experiment but it doesnt appear to get drier or harder at least not after 3 weeks so far.
