So Pretty
yes ive tried sunshine mix before didnt notice much difference. the thing i do like about promix is they stamp the bales when they were made these ones are fresh only 2 months oldI switched to sunshine mix #4 this time around. I used to get Pro-mix at Walmart but they haven't replenished their stock in a couple of YEARS.
I can get the Sunshine Mix at Lowes. It seems to be about the same with added silicon that Pro-mix doesn't have.
i havent been posting much been so busy things are going alright doing alot of aggressive pruning to prevent them from growing taller since i cant put the trellis up until my flood trays get here it was such a pain in the ass trying to get white botanicare ones by freight im still waiting on those.

White trays? You're a brave man. With your eye for cleanliness I see a lot of scrubbing trays in your future.
I love the look of white. I bought some white 1020 propagation trays. Loved the look until the first water to run off. Then it looked like pee stains.i find the white ones easier to clean they have some sort of coating overtop of the regular black abs that most trays are made of i suspect thats what makes them easier to clean my black trays i had before i could never get those clean properly. should order one and try them out there super nice thats why i went with them over the regular black ones. a little pricey but i think there worth it if you plan on keeping them forever as far as durability goes. lot of my gear came in today. lol cant even set it up i gota build my trellis larger to fit around the trays. it barely fits wall to wall once i have the trellis and trays in place. wall to wall is 106 inches the trays together are 104 inches + 1/2" + 1/2" for the pipe that makes the trellis that gives me a half inch of play on either side lol

interesting id like to hear how that goes. i actually never do that with peat. i could be wrong or it could be my nutrients driving the ph down over time im not an expert on the subject. here is my take on it though. peat is very acidic with no dolomite lime added to peat the ph would be too low for the plants to take up the proper nutrients i suspect. i actually add an extra cup of dolomite lime to every 5 gallons of promix to counteract this. i also never water to run off i always water right up until the point where you would begin to see run off. my reasoning was that i didnt want any lime escaping as it breaks down throughout the grow cycle as i need that to maintain my ph throughout the whole run. i also dont ph my nutrient solution i let the lime in the mix do that for me. i used to have two ph pens one for soil/media and one for checking the nutrient solution prior to watering but adding extra lime i dont really need to mess around with pens and calibrating and purchasing calibration solution every 30 days i ended up tossing those out.Yes I've been treating it just like coco. water twice a day to runoff. I get about a 3/4 of a gallon of runoff per day from nine plants
no i dont, once fully grown into the 10 gallon bags they each drink 5 litres of nutrient solution every other day.Do you water daily?

This is really good info! Thank you @xox. I'm experiencing a bit of mg lockout and I was struggling to figure out why. This makes perfect sense, I'm ph'ing to 5.8 roughly so it's never getting in the range for CA or MG takeup.
I have to decide if I wanna stick with this or go back to coco
