lol nope havent even finished cutting the pvc i redid the plumbing inside the reservoir three times im terrible at plumbing. i would rather put a t near the top of my supply line with a check valve to break the siphon but im too dumb to figure which check valve to buy that would work with the amount of pressure from my pump ill prolly just drill a small hole. that siphon break thing from floraflex is junk takes up waaaay to much room in the reservoir i dont want to sacrifice room for another 40 litres of nutrient solution i only want to fill this thing up every 10 days or so lolyou didn’t get a flood did you?
how small is small i was wondering what size 3/32, 1/8, 5/32 ?
pardon my ignorance, how will i know if it will break a siphon while running the pump to test. im good to go if water comes out of the hole or?

Hey anyway to help. Water will come out of hole while pump is on. Once pump shuts off the line should pull in air thru hole. You will know when siphon is broken by the water not flowing to plants a few seconds after pump is turned off. The few seconds is for the water in the line to level off. The more volume in the line the longer it will take to level off and stop flowing out. If water is still coming out the manifold lines after 5 minutes then the hole is not letting in enough air. I wouldn't think you shouldn't have to exceed 5/32 for a 3/4 inch line.
They have 2 ring sizes. That looks like the smaller one? And you have to get them in place before they become Sequoia sized.

Mine measures 3 inches. I guess you just need to install them earlier in veg. I'm impressed with that tree trunk, could be an outdoor plant with that girth.

the company must have shrunk them then thats a bit of a bummer
did a little leak test today and timed out how much comes out after so many seconds. also 3/16" drill bit appears to work to break the siphon holy shit does it ever come out fast lol. thankyou for answering all my questions everyone hopefully ill be good.

If you’re gonna go that route a sterile res might make more sense due to the large volume of water and high cost of hydroguard
