I was up in Central Me today, it was at 22% where I was at.
Best thing I ever did was drive north to get in totality in 2024, that was incredible.
Also saw someone from NJ who didn't know how to pump their own gas that day, so double bucket list!

Floods will not reach my house. Our house is about 600 ft elevation from the bottom of the valley and on a hill on the downward slop of a 2000ft mountain. If our house floods many towns would be wiped out first. But our travel is restricted due to fast moving washes and normally dry creeks. So low lying areas are at greatest risk.

Something I found out about mountain life is, its not about it filling up, it comes to running down. Where does it run down the mountain? That shit can wipe you out.

We had glorious rain off and on throughout the night. 72 right now. we haven't seen the 70's for a while. Still have the dog days of August, September and part of October before it really cools down.
