What fresh hell is this
We were living in Salt Lake when they did a 10 year highway expansion in 4 years. For the winter Olympics, it was fucked up bad during construction. I did some work on an excavator out in the field in the middle of the night once. Welded it up, portable line bored it and sweated in the bushings so they could fire it up in the morning. Gotta keep that highway project rolling, failure is not an option.As a fellow Torontonian I can corroborate how terrible our traffic is.
I’m not far from the new subway expansion construction and the whole mess snarls city streets. Only another decade before they finish

So this was maybe a year ago at Pape Station. I’m just a little south of this by a few streets.
There is an existing station here, but it will it be a new interchange to the northbound line also.
Projected completion is 2031 but I ain’t holding my breath. It’s ultimately a new15km line with 15 new station stops. Massive infrastructure project.

It wasn’t quite a decade, but Lawrd it felt like it.
The route cuts a big swath through Riverdale and Riverside near the house. And wouldn’t you know it, the new line starts right beside my office. I can’t get away from the friggin’ construction

Morning. Cancelled our 10am tee time. It's another hot muggy day so the garden seems better. You can do something, go inside, cool off instead of stuck in the hot sun for 4 hours.
That last pic was supposed to be butternut squash. We are waiting to determine if it's acorn or Hubbard. If the latter I may encounter some excessive stress loads on my arch.
we went to the local plant store during clearance and I guess all the plants had become jumbled by shoppers. I don't really want or need 20 pound squashes. If that's how it turns out the local food bank will get the crop.
