Random Stream of Consciousness

We used to burn an embankment between railroad tracks and the river in the fall, right after the train passed.
It would be dayglow green from the ash all summer long to hide the pot plants.
The train's brakes would usually set something afire along the route during the year anyway.
Torched some patches on small islands in the Potomac river also, that was easier. Do that right before a storm came in.

Neighbors called 911 even though there was a notice of controlled burn. So sheriffs office with sirens and all showed up. No lectures though as I didn’t light it. Next time I’ll just call you since you have experience!
We are the reason we now need fire permits again ( long story ) to burn. Got carried away with burning a bunch of cedar bushes and someone from the town of Cesarea across the lake called the F.D. on us. It was a pretty big column of flame. We had big F.D. trucks down the lane and "the lecture" from the big man in the big hat.
