My poor daughter. She was out and about and stopped at a circle k for a soda. When she got out her steering wheel was locked up, she couldn't get the key to work. Nobody would help her and she ended up walking home[6 miles] because she forgot her phone. She ended up paying 250 for a tow. Now the car is home parked in front of our house. I can't get it to work I think it's the ignition lock or switch or what ever.

We had that happen. It was aggravating.

Have you looked at the transmission linkage on the side of your transmission to see if anything is blocking it

And if the feeling it is an electronic issue have you checked the fuse box

I'm pretty sure the ignition lock is bad. She pulled into her parking spot with the wheels turned. It's a 15 year old car.

She called a mobile mechanic, they are changing the lock cylinder right now.

Try "bouncing" the steering wheel off the stop while turning the key. I had a car that would do that when the wheels are turned.
