not to be negative but do y'all get budworms up there? thinking ahead.
I'm positive they got to if they have moths they will lead to bud worms. You guys get any in Arizona? Freaking nasty two seasons ago guy hung plant and I started looking and could see em wiggle all through buds. Gross, he's like ahh just little protein, lol. Nope don't want try it

Gotta ask the outdoor pros. What should he be using to prevent this?

By no means a pro, but I’ve been in the habit of drenching with Lost Coast Plant Therapy once a week. Good for a variety of pests and as a preventative for PM.

Those nibbles wouldn’t give me pause. Some pest incursion is gonna happen, mitigation is the best you can do.

I'm Harley and I approve of this message.
He had such a good time yesterday. Didn’t move on the ride home and he’s been sleeping all morning

Permitted substance list is short for Canada.

No inflorescence, so pyrethrum/pyrethrin+ DE with a spreading agent.( yucca/natural soap)
Or go with light oils and DE, just keep the fan leaves distasteful.
Don't really need to do Bt-k yet since there's no buds.

If you spray Bt-k anywhere right now, should be in grass nearby for stem borer larva.
They lay eggs in short grass, larva feed on grass and migrate to bigger prey.
If they eat the grass on a strip around the plants, they die.

yep, I had a plant infested with them. The buds started dying, I brought it inside to see if I could figure out what was wrong and found caterpillars crawling out of the buds, ewww. Part of why I don't grow outdoors.

Bacillus thuringiensis. I was told the worms are prevalent around oak trees, which I happen to have a big one behind my fence.
Neem oil is a organic insecticide, along with insecticidal soap, but you don't want to use Neem when it starts to flower, BT can be used however.
Mornin.

I was talking to a guy at the flower and tree nursery and said all the same from all the types of moths, they produce little worms/maggets. Yeah i gotta find my BT have stupid auto flower started flowering like three weeks into growing. Can't throw out probably grow a ounce if I'm lucky, lol.

These Twenty20 Mendocino plants are a vigorous lot. I’ve become enamoured with this Femme Fatale. It’s just been a joy to watch this grow.

Part of the reason I chose their beans is for their outdoor pedigree.

Agreed with @DCcan the allowable list of treatments in Canada differs quite a bit. Part of the reason for the Lost Coast. Readily available and ‘safe’. I’ll blow through a full litre spray bottle treatment on the plants once a week. Tops, underside, stems etc.

Those are some beautiful plants, freaking not a spot on them leaves! What are you going with for bloom boosters? I was thinking about what LG suggested koolbloom but not sure for outdoor. That and it was 0-10-10. No nitrogen? Or I looked up wrong bottle but had flower on bottle. We had really great results with fox farms salts. But three parts for early flower, mid, end. Want something easier

Thanks @Dboybudz 🙏🏻

Keepin’ it simple. Maxi Gro for veg and Maxi Bloom for flower. I also have a bag of Kool Bloom that I’ll feed for the last two weeks or so.

Pain will be once this supply is done. Product is no longer available in Canada. Figure I’ve got about one more run worth then I’ll have to get creative. Switch to Remo, have my Sister In Law grab some in Massachusetts and bring up etc.

I'm almost out of Maxibloom and it went up 4 dollars a bag!
Should I be adding Kool bloom at the end? I've always used just Maxi bloom.
Do I use both together or substitute Kool bloom for Maxi bloom?
Personally, I switched to Kool alone for the last two weeks. Not sure if @Laughing Grass had a different use case for indoor.

I did find it helped with resin production. YMMV
