We moved to Tucson to be closer to the grandchildren in Scottsdale. If it was up to me we'd still be living in Yreka. I never could understand what the deal was with Scottsdale. Looks just like Phoenix and just as hot.
My parents bought a place there in 2019. Not sure why they chose Scottsdale. They hate Florida and California is too expensive. I was tasked with selling it in 2021. Selling a house remotely is a challenge lol. And I learned the IRS takes 15% off the sale of foreign owned property and you have to fight to get back the remainder. The housing market dropped during covid so there was a loss on the property. Took until 2024 to get the money back.
I think they were hoping I’d give up on it. I don’t give up on money!
