Random Stream of Consciousness

2013 BMW f800GS with 19,000 mi. As you can tell from the fella's garage it was well maintained. I scored big time. He's the original owner and barely rode the thing. It also had a lot of extras that came with it.

Road over 300 mi yesterday to get it home. This bike is smooth as butter on the freeway and the seat is very comfortable. I will be able to do 400 mile days without even thinking about it.

First lesson!

Tried to do a wheelie on the test ride but traction control kicked in and messed it up.
Someone was throwing this out. Yeah a bit rough, but really not bad. I need a grate for the grill side and a pin for the hinge on the grill side. The flat top side needs cleaning and re-seasoning. It works. And foldes up to put in the back of the truck. View attachment 4042
Nice score. A little bit of love and I'm sure it'll be great. Really like the setup should be able to do quite a bit with that. Don't need to be pretty to cook some damn good food.

Sorry you're not feeling well today bud. Hope it goes away quickly.

I already tried a wheelie but the traction control kicked on and messed it up. It turned into Pop a wheelie instead lol.

After I figure out how to work all the fancy bells and whistles It's on. Can't believe some of the stuff people do on them. I used to have dual sports but never a big adventure bike. It's going to be fun!
I'm envious of your luggage! Very cool bike.

So cool! Congratulations Tvan!

That knobby front tire worries me, looks like it might wash out in a corner...not much rubber on the road. Can't say I have dealt with a dual sport however.
Just got back from a pretty technical ride. Went through Hamilton to the observatory. You get a little wobble in the front every now and then, but nothing major. If you just go with the flow and don't fight it, everything's good.

That knobby made it excellent off-road. Just took it on a couple easy trails today. Definitely worth the trade-off. You lose a bit of handling on the street, but it's still pretty capable in the dirt.

Sweet bike bro, can only imagine how excited you are. Looks amazing condition like new, definitely scored. I gotta start looking for something been to long.
Thanks. The previous owner dumped a bunch of money into it and barely rode it. I really did score. I got it ridiculously cheap because I paid cash. I actually couldn't believe it lol

Hope you get a bike soon. Life is too short to not have fun! Definitely send me pics if you get one.
