Random Stream of Consciousness

Maybe you'll end up liking the results better.

I did not like the $49 per bag cost lol. But not having to mix in perlite was pretty nice.

I'm really surprised to hear there is a run on Coco. Weird.

Think @Dboybudz is right, your prowess will likely overcome the learning curve on HP. You got this :)

I buy Canna coco from Holland Industry. They were telling me that it's because Sri Lanka has a big coconut shortage this year.

Ive got Duke, Toro, Chandler and Northern. The duke is the tallest which I acquired last year and a local rabbit took a good whack at it lol but its coming back around. As far as low/high bush I am kind of winging it.

Those are all highbush, I think. Duke is a early bloomer, so you want to have that next to another early variety for more cross pollination.
Most lowbush need other plants to produce fruit, highbush are self pollinating, but get more/larger fruit from crossing.
High and low bush can pollinate each other also.

I like pro mix. I'm interested to hear how it works out for your setup.

... Kinda nervous about using promix. Hopefully that's not a disaster for me ...
Cronk raises a heavy head and a tired eye and breaks away from all that Terraform shit he's been trying to incorrectly code for the last 6 work days - pretty much alone! This caveman is totally fried from trying to learn this "principle" without any real official doc set - what could go wrong?

Not to worry LG - there are several of us who have used Pro Mix for a few grows. We've worked out the bugs and can offer you some help.

So - what are you growing? ( I told you it's been a while .. )

Awesome. Thanks for the info! I did check to see if all the variety's I selected can cross pollenate so I think Im good. I may need another Duke just to get their timing right.

*Note that weather patterns and climate affect bloom times of blueberry bushes. Thus, two blueberry cultivars that are known cross-pollination partners may not bloom at the same time in your region and would be unable to cross-pollinate. The best way to ensure effective cross-pollination is to plant three or more different cross-pollinators in the same area.
