I do agree though, very nice looking veg
I own 3 HLG Tomahawks. I like them but if I had known they would discontinue them within a year of introduction and therefore dropped support, I would have bought ac Infinity instead to be natively controlled by the devices I automate my grows with. Why the HLG animosity? Sorry, im a total gossip

I ordered a Scorpion Diablo X on Black Friday 2025. Page said 3-4 week lead time. A month later I asked for an update, got kicked down the road, then again two or three more times. End of January this year I demanded a refund. Now the Scorpion and Tomahawk are gone from their site and the .ca site was taken over by a link farm. Seems like a company in its death throws.
I ended up with a better light IMO. AC Infinity EVO10. Its' a beast and I got it the next day after ordering.

I had no idea. Maybe its got something to do with samsung stepping out of led business. Or the fact that the market is very averse to pay high end prices.I own 3 HLG Tomahawks. I do think cheaper lights have become very effective. If you really want or need as precise a spectrum, that's fine. But entry level lights can really grow weed and new growers probably shouldn't learn to drive in Lamborghinis. My first led lights came from Area 51, some of the first full spectrum leds to hit the market 15 years ago. 200W and very user friendly compared to HPS. I still have them stored in my attic.I had no idea. Maybe its got something to do with samsung stepping out of led business. Or the fact that the market is very averse to pay high end prices.
When they came about there was still no tested and reliable Ali sources and there was much more enfasis on Top bin leds (the ones that test highest for efficiency). They got a good Samsung connect so they could provide the tech people wanted. Nowadays high bin/efficiency lights are much more available - almost all leds come in high flux bin (light output) but to get that top line spec you also need a low voltage bin (lower power consumption). It means that paying a premium doesnt really increase your light per led, it just lowers power consumption by a few percent which isnt really all that much for the premium price.I do think cheaper lights have become very effective. HGL is unable to grow further because they aren't catering to the broader market. Painted into a corner of excellence.
