Random Stream of Consciousness

Thanks for all the good vibes sent our way we are home now as for the wifey we are thinking meds and dehydration drops her blood pressure when she stands up we found 4 meds that she is on that can lower her blood pressure
Good to hear you guys got it figured out.
I kept getting dizzy while I was working on my daughters bakery and it was pissing me off. I mean like everytime i would bend over and back up for like a week. Was getting pretty scary. I was taking a BP medication per doctors orders even though my BP was good for the last couple years but because I WAS pre diabetic at that time Doc said keep on it.

Couldn’t figure out what this was so I talked to my RN sister. She suggested having a couple candy bars nearby for when it happens again to see if it’s low blood sugar, didn’t help, and to check my blood pressure. It was a little low. I stopped taking the BP medication and dizziness went away almost immediately.

Too cold.for snow here, as usual. Big warmup coming too.
Its raining right now where i’m at in NorCal. Never said nothing about rain this early morning in the forecast wtf! Now i gotta put on a jacket for my commute over to the growshop :-( lol

Lost 50lbs. Lowered my A1C from 6.4 to 5.5.
Had to completely change the way I even look at food. Doc says I should be able to stop taking this metformin crap if labwork shows even better next month. Fucking hate taking pills.
Big changes! That’s amazing! 👏🏻

Family history so Amlodipine for BP and statins.

I asked my Cardiologist ages ago about heart healthy diets etc. His advice to me was simple. Eat like your grandparents used to. They would go out to eat every so often, sure, however, most of the food was cooked at home by their own hand. This is where you control the fat, sodium etc.

Second suggestion was to ditch the dinner plates. The side plate we all have as part of our place setting dishes, is what we should be using. I’ve never had weight issues, but this simple pivot has been huge.

A post this long can only mean that I’m delaying dealing with this:

Yup they still got me on a statin too even though my numbers have been good for a couple years. Hoping to be able to stop with it also after the next labwork results.

This front was supposed to fall apart before it got here but it had different ideas, supposed to be just a possible shower. We got .14 in of rain in about an hour, 47 degrees. Looks like it's mostly done with us.
Mornin.

Nice job, dropping that A1c is huge accomplishment. I was hovering at that pre-D mark, lost 70 lbs and reduced my carb intake to < 60 grams a day and NO fast food for the past 2 years. BP was a tad high but 5 mg Amlodipine got it down. Sure do miss those empty carbs though..but most of my 70 years I ate whatever and whenever I wanted so can't bitch too much. You youngsters, get that A1C checked and catch it while you can still control it with lifestyle changes!

as a side note: This place is really inexpensive for lab work, no doc's orders needed and you get the blood draw at your local Labcorp.
