I took a quick walk this morning, trailhead was in the parking lot of my first job.
Smoked a cone, it was like air conditioning with forest pine freshener added.
Red sumac is almost ready for tea, actually quite refreshing mixed with green tea.

Yeah ... them rains hit here as well accompanied by some pretty nasty winds. Fortunately, The Seed Factory looks to have survived cause at 5:16 AM, I moved them closer to mi casa to get them out of the direct path of that invisible force. So I guess I am staking the main stalks later this morning. Surprised our power stayed on cause power lines and forests don't always co-exist.
@DMChiz - were your externals battered too or were they still safely under the greenhouse?

I also experienced those rumbles and winds @Starecase but thankfully I remembered late last night and popped ‘em into the greenhouse.
I’ll leave them in there until this weather clears out but sounds like this will go on all day.

Good morning. Emptying, sun drying and sifting my compost pile. It's still to wet and I've had to have yet another discussion about the appropriateness of someone's sticks in my pile. The last memo wasn't strongly worded enough, I guess.
pretty nice day to do it. Hope it's dry enough to sift this afternoon, then I'll be top dressing my veggie beds.
