Humidity dropped 30 points from yesterday, big change!
Time to lug cinder blocks, set 4x4's, mix cement and put up chicken wire...
Fence project is coming along, just needs a lot of landscape armoring at the base.
Haven't seen woodchuck in a week, chipmunks are next. They like to sample everything before its ripe.

A couple years ago I bought some organic garlic at the grocery store to plant in the garden. It didn't work so well... It grew but looked more like green onions growing so I pulled some and was disappointed and just cut it off at the ground. To my surprise, they have been one of the first things to sprout every year in the garden. Apparently leaving the bulb in the ground over winter will give you a new growth of a cluster of garlic. Last year I let a few go to flower, more out of letting pollinators have them.. and let the flowers fall to the ground, and I got some bulbils, that will grow garlic into a single bulb\clove in year 1... in year 2 it will grow into a regular garlic bulb.. and now, I have a few spots that give me a perennial garlic grow of garlic clusters. If I knew that before hand, I would have set them up in specific locations for pest control and use them to make garlic powder. So I guess you can have a perennial self seeding garlic patch just by leaving them in the ground.

Coulda used some of y’all’s fresh garlic this morning. Kids wanted a stew and I’m popping in and out all day, so lettin’ this simmer.

Miz Chiz is hosting a Mah Jong game so I’m taking the kids to a small independent play, running as part of the Fringe Festival.

Humidity broke a little so it’s bearable again outdoors.

If the woodchucks climb the fence, maybe hook up a a little zap for them, electric fence just not so it hurts you tho.
