I've only been using them since the start of this grow so I can't comment on durability. The S9 is designed to run 24/7, the S6...

To maximize the lifespan of the Cloudray S6, the manufacturer recommends not running the oscillation continuously for more than 18 hours a day. Giving the motor a 6-hour rest or off-period keeps it cool, prevents premature wear on the carbon steel gears, and reduces the risk of the fan developing a clicking sound. While the fan itself is engineered to run 24/7, the moving oscillating motor benefits heavily from resting.

Who thought this was a good idea for a grow fan? A pretty expensive grow fan and you can't control the oscillating with the ACI App. You can on the S9

Well here hoping that they will last I must say that I've not had any luck with fan that are supposedly made for growing marijuana and like you said they cost a lot of money
