I’m probably going to clean out a little part of my shop so I can pull my silverado in and install new upper control arms/ball joints. Really want to be done with the wrenching for a minute(again)!and it’s gonna rain again here soon.
Yesterday I finally figured out what was making the noise in the front end of my F350. I hate Ford I’m a Chevy guy, long story why I have a Ford lol. Anyways, after damn near rebuilding the whole front end. New front axle Ujoints and seals and hubs and tie rods, ball joints, end links etc etc blah blah blah. I still had a clunking sound couldn’t figure wtf was causing it. So I pulled the front driveshaft figuring it’s gotta be that! Even though I didn’t suspect that to be the source, wouldn’t make sense. The Unoints in it were perfect. So I get to thinking. Maybe its the god damn sway bar bushings. They looked fine and I couldn’t move or budge the sway bar. But i took it apart anyways.
It was those fricken bushings! Finally all done for now with the ford. All the stuff I replaced was needed so I didn’t waste any money but I hate ford.

I'm right there with you on not being a ford guy and owning one. They do have good heat and can push a house down. But always working on it. My head leaks a little oil. Not much at all....and I really wouldn't care if it just didn't drip on the damn exhaust. If you don't warm the motor up it stinks lol and sometimes smokes.

I picked up this rig after the fire because I lost my 2013 2500hd Duramax in the fire. I needed a hauler to pull my new house around. There was no diesel silverados worth a shit around here so I bit the bullet and bought the F350 SD.
I go to move my 5th wheel to my property for the first time and it wouldn’t pull it because the injectors were shot. So I took it in and next thing you know and about $9K later it had new injectors and was bulletproofed lol. Now it’s stout AF except that its still a Ford.

Waiting on the next round of rain to come in today, not supposed to be as strong of a storm as the last one. We're still playing catchup to the average from a January with no rain. The reservoirs are in good shape, they are having to dump water to make room for the runoff.

I went out to the shop to finish up the gardening and stood there looking at what i would need to do to make room for even just the front of the truck to be pulled in and said F-that I’ll wait until Saturday when we’re supposed to get a few day break in the weather.

Dude. Once the rain finally started after the Camp fire it wouldn’t fucking stop. It’s what finally put out the fire, just like down there. When they finally let us back into our properties, about a month, we were trying to sift through about 10” of ash clay.
Mother nature can be very cruel
