The shoveling of the driveway earlier today and the grabbing a load of firewood now for later tonight, I am still feeling the effects of these -16C temps during the daytime. I could devour that whole pot just to warm up.

If you have a couple hours to let it all simmer, stewing beef instead of hamburger adds a little bit of extra beef flavour.

I had to resist as I'm reserving the stewing beef for Sunday's dinner! Irish beef and potato stew that night, then I had planned to do a Lingonberry & Mushroom pork tenderloin somewhere in this weekend too. Sounds like it'll be crappy right through to Monday so why the fuck not.
