Lots of branches and trees down from the ice storm. Still overcast and wet, but it's supposed to hit 60° and sunny by the afternoon.

How's everyone doing?

Growing tired of the weather yo-yo. Its a recipe for colds and snotty nose kids

I had to cut down my wild plum tree after the last heavy snow storm. It was too damaged to save. Brought one branch in to force bloom and say goodbye. Loved that tree.

It would take more time than I have to grow another one like this. Plenty of little ones on my property. It had a lovely shape to my eye, sculpted by winter weather every year but this year it got a spiral fracture in the main lateral branch and no way it was going to heal.

We approach the 48th hour without any power. We lost "lectric" on Saturday afternoon about 4:00 PM. I had to bring the home office to the library in town today to get wired.

But of an even greater importance ... the Bloom Girls have been in the dark tent for all of those 48 hours. Bit of a piss-off considering that this was my first flower attempt with Remo Dry line - and they end up getting totally light starved for what is probably going to amount to over 3 days.

Whaddya think Dolls ... are they screwed?

I have had vegging plants go 52 hrs with no light and no detriment other than slow growth once lights returned. Temperature environment was stable enough without power as it didn't get too hot and only got down to 45 at night.

edit: my memory sucks but that may have been the hermied crop. Too many grows to remember which is which.

As long as water and temps stay in check you are probably ok.

I have also had VEG plants that have recovered after over 72 hours of dark. It gets to the low 60's in the grow area without any working heaters - including the main house furnace - so I am not too worried about the girls in VEG.

As long as water and temps stay in check you are probably ok.

With those low temps mentioned above, I can foresee some major bronzing of the remaining fans.

Today was feed day but the buckets were still a bit wet and heavy on Saturday just before we lost juice. Not that it would matter cause with all the power out, I can't even draw 8L of water from the well anyways.

They'll recover. Might stretch a bit during lights out.

Even after the stretch stopped about 3 weeks ago?

No power to pull vacuum on the sap lines. And probably a grand shit show of a mess of trees and broken lines. It was a smooth start to the season lol not anymore

Yea, the weekend was a mess. This morning was just thick fog till noon.
The next 2 weeks of April look damp and breezy, but no more snow and ice hopefully.
