This is the old elevator call button at what's now a pot factory, with the night watchmen's key hanging on a chain below.

It would ring a 120v bell and flash a light in the elevator shaft for the operator to come. It was still in use till the 90's, and the elevator had a 480v switch to operate, no safety features.
Used to have a wood button on the top. Knob and spool wiring with brass screws, piece of mahogony for a fixture and pine board for an outlet box.

Last full day here. Even on vacation I’m up at 6:30am. Decided to go for a 5km walk along the beach. I’ll likely do another 5km this afternoon. Be easy friends.

Doin good. Bummed the snow season's over for us but happy to break out the flip-flops and tank tops!

This weeks ski trip will be without the Peanut. Leaving him at my X's. That way I can get more that 4hrs on the hill & can eat & drink beer in peace.
Leaving today, skiing Sun - Thurs, picking him up Friday morn on the way back.
He will be missed.

I just got the snow off the back deck......I have a deck again! Still have a ton in the yard. We took the wrecked greenhouse cover off too. It's a shame I called to buy a replacement and was told it was backordered. Try back in 3 months

Maybe a small lean-to on the deck against the house. Just temporary for this year. Don't need it yet......got cold rain tonight and 2"-4" snow on Monday. Winter isn't over.
