Freeze Drying Cannabis: My First Harvest Right Freeze Dryer Adventure

I dried a little traditionally. You can see how much it shrinks compared to freeze dried.

I am very familiar with vacuum pressures and Torr given my Space product background. Everything tested to withstand typically 0.00001 Torr at -100°F and 200°F or about 250 miles in space. So freeze drying is something I have been interested in and thought of making my own using a platen in a bell jar as I already have a pump. These look interesting but engineering mindset means I have to evaluate every feature before I talk myself into it. ....Rambling again.....Yep stoned again.... :stoned:

Immediately thought of you when I was talking about a digital vacuum controller.

I got my part, took forever to install and one screw is lost forever in the bowels of the machine. Turn it on and get the registration screen but no touch response. In the app itshows a new machine, but the serial number is jumbled and says serial number under review and when I try to open a help ticket it just spins endlessly like the machine did when it malfunctioned. Good news is it now has wifi. I am sure it's fine.

Is there a possibility you don't have a well-seated connection?

I reseated the extra smol ribbon cable and voila, touch screen works. Just got off the phone with Patrick who is working on the registration number problem. It's an issue at their end, the old serial number is tied to my account, nothing to do with me.

The good news is my machine works, has more features than before, so yay.
