The same, 2 of those in a 2 x 4 is perfect.
I have noticed the XS 1500 pro puts out some pretty intense light. I've just about decided 75% is the most I need to run it at.
The xs1500 old model I can run at 100 % no problem.

Switched over to the 4x4 today, the Appalachia is going to fill that quickly.
Everything is done germinating, flowers and cukes, got 11 pot plants to sort thru for outdoor.
Have an auto drain sysyem still to setup, this week's project after I get some peppers in the ground.

3 weeks old today. They approved of the up potting.
I switched to 12 12 this morning. Summer is going to be brutal. I'm running the lights at night, anything that helps with the heat.
I'm not convinced this will be a successful grow what with the heat and ultra low humidity. The swamp cooler definitely raises the humidity.
The temperature is another thing. I got home from golfing the tent was at 92 degrees and 70% RH outside it was 100 and 10% RH. The plants seemed to like it, my wife not at all. She's worried I'm running up a huge electricity bill with the swamp cooler. I doubt it but we'll see. If she would let me grow inside the heat wouldn't be a problem. Just saying.
I pulled that scraggly little plant in the solo cup, sorry no room, in the garbage you go.

June and July are weighing heavy on my mind. So far it's working out pretty well. The garage doesn't start heating up until about 3 pm. That's when I fire up the swamp cooler. I have been able to keep the tent in the 80's and the humidity over 50%. My 6' tube fan sucking cooler air off of the floor is doing some good. Running the lights at night when it's cooler helps. Still this is uncharted territory, I haven't tried a complete grow in the garage during the summer. So far the plants are oblivious to the drama happening around them. When I hit mid 80's with 60% RH they grow crazy fast.
In a perfect world I would start them in the 80 60 range and the gradually lower the temp and humidity into the 70 40 range to flower. Wish someone would come up with a climate control device to do just that. And it needs to cost less than a couple of hundred dollars.

Watching to see how they do in case that is in my future.
Thoughts
As you know with higher dew point above 60° the cooling becomes challenging with swamp coolers. Those high dew points can last into early September. I have grown in Phoenix outdoor and air conditioned indoor but never with a swamp cooler. Outdoor they had to be shaded and watered frequently. Also the largest possible pot, to keep roots cool.
I would think the concrete floor should help a great deal. With temperatures going above 110° Yikes!

We are a little cooler and drier than Phoenix. We don't hit 110 very often. If we do the humidity will be around 7% and the swamp cooler should do some good. It's looking like I have about 3 hours a day that I need to account for the heat and dryness. The garage is connected to the house so it gets some temperature seepage. It starts to warm up about 4 pm. The tube fan is doing a surprising amount of good. Since I put it on the floor the tent hasn't got past 86 degrees. I have it balanced with the exhaust so the exhaust sucks just enough to maintain negative pressure.
I'm patting myself on the back now we'll see how it goes when it hits 100 degrees 40 or 50 days in a row. I may be begging to come inside.
I culled another male tonight, a mc x dl. I think I see a couple more, but not definite yet. If I was a betting man i'd bet I'm losing a kk x dl and a slimer. I flipped them on Monday so I would say they are quick flowering. The Gelato 41 males started flowering before I flipped them, 3 weeks old. Could be I bred that in a little. I used the male that flowered while it was still in its solo cup to pollinate everybody.

Lifted the lid Wednesday morning thinking all 4 of the cuttings had rooted. 3 of them handled the hardening process properly - but yesterday morning, one cutting looked like boiled spinach on dirt.
So I tried the @DMChiz method for that one ...
