Whip-it-Out

What’s next for you?
Clean up after they are jarred then rearrange some items in the room. Need to move UPS over and relocate AI controller in order to spread the electrical load to the two available circuits. Need to build raised support for humidifier and dehumidifier. Going to give circulation fans some thought of how best to optimize. Also add some valves and support for water lines.

I like using MegaCrop 1P as it is cheap and easy to acquire but I still have issues with over feeding. My base EC is 0.6 and I was running EC 0.9-1.0 at 5 times a day at the height of flower. Only used 4 heaping teaspoons in a 50 gallon reservoir. Maybe cutting feed to 4 times a day maximum would improve results.

I am happy with the room so far but OCD compels me to strive for the utopia of grows.

Next grow is scheduled to start after summer heat is over. Germination scheduled for late September. Currently have seeds ready for Meltdown, Sugar Cane, Cap Junky and Chimera. Still need to identify and acquire seeds for two more strains for that grow.

From left, 2 Polar Gelato (Gelati?), 4 Guava Bomba and 2 Staypuft from Compound Genetics, one Orange Runtz Cake from Conscious Genetics and one Pink Sunset from Silent Seeds. All feminized, this is my year mapped out. Best day of.the year to germinate. Let's groooooooow!View attachment 15632
That staypuft I'm curious about when flowers. I love the marshmallow genetics the grape gas crossed sounds unique.

We got a 100% germination rate on the seeds I made. This grow will be a couple of polar gelato, gelato 41 x dancing lime, Kosher kush x dancing lime, Macaroon x Gazurple x dancing lime and Mojito [Mountain top mint x Humbolt pound cake x unicorn poop x dancing lime]

I'm hoping for between 6 to 12 females.

This is the first run for all the crosses? Should be a wild tent!

What are you doing different?
Appreciate you asking.

My watering practices were faulty.
  1. I didn't water to minimum runoff so the roots never did get a good rinse of old salts.
  2. I pH'd the feed water too low at 6.0 - 6.1. That should be the pH of the medium and not source water. I've raised source pH to 6.6
  3. Buckets were not fully draining. There are now 1" spacers to allow full bucket drain.

The end result was the pH of the root zone was down in the low 5.0's / high 4.0's. Toxic AF. Not quite battery acid levels but getting there. Every possible nutrient needed by the plants were totally out of range. With medium levels returning to the high 5.0's / low 6.0's, the plants can find what they need. That is why things are still this green in Week 8.

It's been a great learning experience.

It's been an even greater experience to get the correct advice from all the golf, dog and weed lovers here on GD.
