Tell us about your style of growing

i like to keep it simple ive done soilless for a decade i use peat because its cheap and i can purchase large bales of it in the summer without paying freight. if i do ever switch to something else it would be something simple like a flood and drain table with one of those fast fit stands on wheels with all botanicare reservoirs and trays because those things last forever.

I love your garden. So clean, I try to emulate as much as I can.

Medium - Promix HP or Sunshine Mix #4 in 5 gallon pails. Been using peat based mixes since Day 1 of legalization.

Feed - started by being disappointed with the Fox Farm trio - then switched to the full Remo Nutrients line in 5.9 - 6.1 pH well water with a feeding every 4th day. Very pleased with the results of the Remo line and have no intentions of switching.

My GOTO grow style is mainline to start switching to SCROG after a few weeks. I spread them as wide as possible so that I get to maximize yields in my 2x4 bloom tent. It's very rewarding seeing fat tops growing from corner to corner.

I bailed on SCROG nets a few grows back cause I used wood trim for the frames and the wood twisted too much. It is my aim to build brand new PVC frames so that I can restart the SCROG grows. I already have the PVC to make 4 new 2' x 2' frames. I just gotta get it done.

Lighting - one (1) HLG 320XL BSpec 4100K light for VEG and two (2) Timber 2VL 3000K rigs for BLOOM.

that's kind of the inspiration for GrowDolls. I've benefitted so much by being mentored by you, c2g and other more experienced growers. I wanted an environment where every new grower gets that experience and we look out each other.
Im a little late on the scene with this thread. But, i must agree that watching your grows and your progress from a decent grower into a freaking master. All your grows that ive seen have been inspiring and ive learned alot watching. Ive grown for years but ive progressed farther watching You, C2G and Folks like Star Dog and Mumbletypeg from RIU. I knew when i saw you building some of that complex equipment like the seed sorter and saw the health of your plants that i was watching a pro work. Thanks for the information and for having me here.

That’s really sweet of you @CarolinaPothead. @curious2garden, @Shane Karmann and many others from RIU have been instrumental in taking my grow to the next level.

I finally am going to have a decent light. Amazon had the Spider Farmer SE3000 with the 301H evo chips for $220 and free shipping. I know its more about the environment than the diode, but it dont hurt having the new stuff for once. Now i can have both rooms well lit. My wife said Happy Birthday even though its in May. Works for me.

That's a nice price for a nice light. Treat yourself, I say!
