Tale of a Fateful trip...

After a few weeks of cure the final (minus what I have sampled) numbers for the six plants.

Over a kilo at 1070 grams total. Breakdown by plant;
Gorilla Glue #4 LG Cut = 122g
Blueberry = 156g
HEKA = 174g
Permanent Marker = 196g
Apple Crumble = 199g
Fat Bastard = 223g

These were 36 days in veg and 68 days in flower.
As soon as the summer heat eases a bit, the new grow room will begin construction phase.

Thinking of the new room and need to make a flood stand to fit. 4x6 is the plan.
Maybe some 3/4" EMT conduit and some of these connectors.

Laying it out should be about $100 more than flimsy ones online.
Any other ideas?
 
It is still in the planning stage. I have other projects that is currently taking my time. I think I have worked out how it will work.

Lovey has requested I get her patio cover done first. When they deliver the patio material there will be some grow room material in there to start the framing. I hope to have it done by winter.

I really enjoyed building my own cabinet. Unfortunately I outgrew it too quickly and made a lot of decisions about my growing style that I'd later come to regret.
 
Front patio is awaiting supplies of plywood and roofing material. Due in next week I hope. So I have started the new grow room build by purchasing 40 pieces of metal stud material to frame out the new room. Front patio takes priority until it is done but at least I have material now to do some work during patio down times.
 
Contemplating pros and cons of all options for framing. The back wall with all the foam board insulation is easy to panel vertically. The outside side wall with the corner bracing and thicker roof beams vs wall is a concern. Currently leaning toward adding stud framing with vertical paneling between building frame uprights. Would provide 3.5" space for insulation and wouldn't have to worry about cutting panels around corner bracing.
Horizontal paneling in this area would need to go over the corner braces.
The paneling is the same on the out side of the building. Rib metal panels 3'x12' and can be installed with ribs vertical or horizontal.

Yes I do over think things sometimes, part of my process and helps to get motivated.
Those are power supplies for grow lights temporarily hanging on the wall.

My rule for planning shit is this: It's a lot easier to start something in a half assed manner than finish it that way.
 
The theme for the build of this room is "no absorbent materials" (like wood) to minimize moisture degradation. So I am hesitant to put ply wood on the walls even though there will be a vapor barrier. The insulation is the only absorbent material I must use and will be doing what I can to minimize exposure to moisture with extensive use of plastic wrap. Got plenty of plastic sheeting but need more tape so I need to go to town for more supplies. Maybe tomorrow. Currently doing some electrical work in the space to move the overhead light and bring over another 20A circuit to the space.

I finally have a working plan for the metal framing, panels, trim and door.

Thank you for your input, as that spurred thoughts to get that plan working. :cool:

I've seen people use waterproof bathroom wallboard sealed with a heavy duty stick-on vinyl covering.
Resistant to mold etc and can be scrubbed regularly, i think its 3M.
Especially good for sealed rooms with CO2.

I think this journal is an amazing learning experience for everyone, especially me. Your taking the time to do this right and and easy with help from automation. This hobby will be better than professional grows and produce something special. I'm so glad to watch and see this start up,no details to small.
