Rocket Souls led lab

Ok, so confirmed - last grow was 1050g, a bit less than the first one. Very homogenous numbers most plants were 60+- a couple of grams. Outliers was the ones with more tops at 80g - all in the same space as the rest. They were mostly located in the middle.

We were hoping for more - but still a great result- +60g per square foot and 1.5 g/w at 700w. Quality was up quite a bit with loads of frost and stronger smell.

My buddy has identified cannopy management as the failing factor- we need more than 3-4 good tops per plant, 5-6 should do it. Capacity for 80g plants means around 1300 capacity for the tent.
Also previous grow La Bella yielded 120 (but it was a bit of a space invader) and grow lasted a bit longer: this one was just over 7 weeks.

There was also quite a bit of larf for the hashbin - ideally some better lolipopping and pruning of lowers but its hard to keep on pruning after 2nd week as cannopy gets quite dense.

Edit: yield numbers of the sides, the ones who only really had one spectrum as follows:
660: 63, 61, 57, 60.
680: 61, 58, 61, 59
No real difference

High outliers all in the middle.

i just took a quick browse, heres my take. the plants that branch out the most typically perform better with a net. if your going for the highest grams per watt you should continue tucking the plants back under the net until you cant see through the net. granted this probably will take a couple weeks to do once your plants reach the net. to reduce the veg time should lower the net as low as possible while still allowing room to water/irrigate. genetics definitely play a role i think hybrid plants are best i prefer leggy ones that still have the flower density of an indica. the other thing i find important to note is once the net is completely full to remove all wasted branches and nodes that wont ever reach the light due to being covered by the net as that is wasted growth like removing the suckers from say outdoor tomatoes. to hit the highest numbers i believe co2 is needed just like how you see commercial greenhouses using co2. for any variety of vegetables like tomatoes and peppers. however you need everything else to be dialed in. my personal best was 3 grams per watt of just top flowers. if i included lowers and sugarleaf for hash making the total grams per watt be closer to 4. overall the two biggest things i think are genetics and the combination of co2 and light intensity.

Light intensity is already pushed up towards 1300-1400 ppfd. CO2 is coming as soon as weather permits a sealed grow.

This grow did have netting installed but its hard to see. Its hard to give my tester gardening advice since he has been growing and breeding very selectively with these genetics for over 25 years, led growing for over 20.

3g/w is fantastic! What wattage and area approx? I find it very hard to reach those nrs when using +40w per square foot; that would be +120g per square foot which i cant even picture in my imagination.

this grow is more geared towards max yield per area and short cycles with good quality frost and sorta sweet smell.

This grow is around 65g per square foot which is great imo.

When it comes to plant height: theyre bred to be short, and he has access to almost unlimited blue sup: standard veg would end up at around 900ppfd, which is about 320w of main light + 150w of blue- a 50% blue boost.

The only feedback i gave to my tester was pot size: to drop in a 8-9 liter pot next to the standard 6 and see how it goes - my buddy thinks better canopy management should be the first step - he went from 1m2 to 4x4, a 44% increase in area so its likely he needs a few more tops to get the same 44% increase. His previous record in the old tent was about 900 with same plant count.

Id love to speak more of the genetics but i dont know this by heart. I know these genetics are very hybridized, come from seeds which can be tracked back to landraces without many crossings and generations. One important strain would be HH : a seed brought back from the Himalayas and guven to my friend by a hippie chick over 20 years ago. I think there is some columbian landrace in them aswell but not sure. Theres la Bella, which seems to be reunion island with unknown spanish sativa. Theres also something from a landrace from Congo. But dont ask me exact lineage, i just dont know. The result was crossed with 2 nice forum cuts from a private forum- 1 purple punch x black banana cookies and one amnesia. I grew these out in a pheno hunt, all very nice stuff. My buddy crossed his phenos between those 2 and by now the different lines are just the typical 5:4, 5:3 etc indicating which cross and what pheno.

the run where i hit those numbers is on here starts looking interesting at this post

yea genetics are hard. so many poly hybrids running around now. too many breeders as well market is so saturated. to make things worse some people are not being honest about what plants are used in some crosses so you end up guessing. i've resorted to not buying anything without seeing super impressive photos by randoms on the internet rather than photos seen on seedbanks because those too can also be misleading in some cases.

Out standing results! must be some dense ass genetics; is that 600w Scorpions? I never saw a yield break down so i didnt notice.

Finale few days of veg of next run

Assorted pic's from from the second test grow:
The stretchier on the left are dulce de uva and on the the right the other one, cant quite remember.

High tops have a bit too much and some light bleaching -1200-1500ppfd, may cannopy around 900.

Here some side shots

Good bottom buds with the undercannopies.

All plants look healthy but quite pushed and have nice smell. Theyve been defoliated aswell since last or did i already post that?
