You can do that for the cost of supplies! LOL I spent my childhood living my dad's construction on our home. Found this, reminded me of you

All the wood you got up there it should be cheap! Lovey watches a show where they remodel cabin in Maine and they bid so low compared to here. I know you couldn't buy the wood here for the price of their entire project there.

It's a fuckin game here. Over bid to see if they bite. Or under bid and it endes up just as expensive if not more.

A few years ago (easy 10) I was painting professionally. I quoted this job at 11k. They went with the quote of 7k from the company I previously worked for. It ended up around 13-14k in the end for the homeowner. I got under bid.

Getting vermont wood is the hardest thing for me. Vt has lost a lot of wood mills. A lot of the wood goes to a NY or NH mills then gets lost in the sticks.

Yeah, that company is crazy. Do you know how much of a meticulous asshole I would be if I ended up paying that? It better be to my spec 😂
That seems a little bonkers for the work described.

Our main floor gut which included adding a powder room and full kitchen reno (with millwork) was $100K - granted, six years ago, but still. I’m certain building material costs have increased (thanks dumbass tariffs) but touching a quarter mil for some windows and doors seems like lunacy.

Mornin’ peeps ☕️

Grey and rainy today. Kinda what October is ‘round these parts.

Also means sniffle season. Levi woke up sick, but sounds better now that he’s vertical.

Leftover Turkey tacos today LG?

Lunch today will be the last of the turkey. Did some reading about dark meat being too fatty for dogs. Lola is already sensitive so no freeze dried turkey. Might buy a breast and try it.
